Game Crashes when playing Year 3

I cannot get past Year 3, Part 2 as the game crashes as soon as I go to cast a spell on the same object every time. I have had to restart my cmputer as nothing moves or responds. Any thoughts or solutions here?

oh dear i have completed the whole of year 3 now onto year 4

Have same problem when doing one of the last missions in year 3. Theese one, which starts with getting on the hipogriphe and fitghting with dementors on walls of Hogwrat. After climbing with flower-fans there some object, which cause game stuck.

this was the exact video which helped me with my problem! This is a very good solution, the idea abot using the characters and switching when you cast the spell ( see video towards ending for reference) worked for me!
