Does not detect XBox One controller

Hello,

I know this is a somewhat old game, but it appears to have full controller support and it is not happening.

I have a wireless XBone controller that perfectly works otherwise with all other games. Yes, I've checked the batteries.

Also, I can't use the mouse cursor in-game. This surprises me because looking up this issue in the forums someone mentioned how hard it is to play with mouse cursor. So, it appears that my devices are not working here, apart from my keyboard, which the game recognizes correctly.

I have verified the game files' integrity and checked in the game options for clues. Yes, before you ask, both my mouse and controller work fine. The mouse is not even a wireless model.

Any help is appreciated.

it was never built for that. it was built for xbox 360 controllers. keep in mind that this is an old game that was released on the xbox 360.
