Fountain Courtyard Gold Brick issue - Broomstick disappears

Hi, I'm currently trying to get the Gold Brick in the Fountain Courtyard with the broom.
I've just unlocked Lucius Malfoy & used the DarkMagic on the red knight holding the broom - however, the broomstick has disappeared with the knight.

I've exited the game and re-loaded but the broom's not showing.
I've managed to use the plunger you get by clearing the fountain using the silver knight to collect the blue studs - which has generated the Gold Brick... However I can't collect this without a broom.

Any help is appreciated.
