EDIT: Dunno if it'll be recognized by this software, whatever you're using, but I recently obtained a Logitech F310 that wasn't recognized by the logitech game profiler on win8. I was told about Pinnacle Game Profiler, which actually works pretty good. You can just map the controller to use the keyboard controls, and only while you're playing this game.
This. JoyToKey is also an alternative.
This information, as well as the controller model, is what you need to put in your OP. Otherwise we don't have enough info to help you.
x360ce worked for me for this game, but it was definitely pretty wonky to get it set up right all the time. Have you followed all the instructions, put the x360ce executable in the same folder as the game executable, run the x360ce executable and gotten it to properly map all your controls?
You may want to see if MotionInJoy works for you. It's been much less of a hassle for me.
