They Bleed Pixels

The game won't recognize my controller (even after an emulator).
I want to play the game with my controller to be more easy. The problem is that it won't recognize it. After a quick search i saw that it only supports xbox controllers so I found an emulator. I downloaded, loaded it and in the preview it seemed like it worked. When I lunch the game it still doesn't recognize it. Any ideas? Any better emulator?

I don't think any emulator can help you there. I subjest you try useing the keyboard [WASD keys and H & U(up, left, down, right, attack, and jump; in order) is my favorite way] or getting an xbox controller.

This is frustrating. Yeah, i was playing with the keyboard until now, but my fingers hurt. I payed for the game, and now what? I'm made to pay 40$ to play with a controller? That's non sense. I don't like to hack software but this time I will. I am not going to but a controller just because a game supports only this.

You might only need to hack the controller. That might be faster if you want to use it for other games too. If you want a subjestion I'd say "Dead Rising 2", but most of the time requires another download, to find one, look it up on youtube, it's what I did.

That's what I said. I downloaded an emulator but it still won't work.

(Was PS3 controller?) I didn't know some emulators worked that way, but the more I think of it, it makes sence. I only knew them for playing old games on the Wii or computer or whatever. I am thinking of getting a controller, but I want to save my money so I can make a compooter work. (Compooter as in, extremely slow. Need more than 1 gig of RAM)

First of all, not it wasn't a ps3 controller. Also, by emulator I didn't mean a console emulator but an emulator developed to "translate" simple controllers into xbox. Search for x360ce

Well, what kind of controller is it?

EDIT: Dunno if it'll be recognized by this software, whatever you're using, but I recently obtained a Logitech F310 that wasn't recognized by the logitech game profiler on win8. I was told about Pinnacle Game Profiler, which actually works pretty good. You can just map the controller to use the keyboard controls, and only while you're playing this game.

i use the software xpadder, wit this you configure your generic controller with the keyboard keys, works with almost any game, and certainly works for this game

This. JoyToKey is also an alternative.

Thanks for that post, wrist strain is leading me to buy a controller, but didn't want to drop the money on an XBox controller and was not certain if Xpadder would cut it with a generic.

This information, as well as the controller model, is what you need to put in your OP. Otherwise we don't have enough info to help you.

x360ce worked for me for this game, but it was definitely pretty wonky to get it set up right all the time. Have you followed all the instructions, put the x360ce executable in the same folder as the game executable, run the x360ce executable and gotten it to properly map all your controls?

You may want to see if MotionInJoy works for you. It's been much less of a hassle for me.

Joy2Key definitely works. Once you've got the buttons mapped out in it just remember to do things in proper order: Connect gamepad, start Joy2Key, select the appropriate profile, start TBP. Works with the cheap Playstation-esque controllers you can buy off amazon.
