I cannot get the game to work. =/ Help please!

Everytime I try and open the game it goes to a black screen then it returns to my steam library. I have changed the resolution and the same thing happens. Here are my system specs>>>>>>>

AMD A-10 6700 Radeon HD 3.70 GHz
8 gb RAM
64-bit OS Windows 8.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Have you tried with the "- window" in Launch Options under properties?
Also, you may need admin permission to run and run in compatability mode ...

Let me know if need help with any of this.
