Where to find the code?
Right after starting a new run, before you even enter the parking space proper, there is a console looking for a code.
Where can I find it?

Hi, Darklingtw!

The security room's code can be found as an item that is dropped during runs--it usually comes from investigating objects.

When you have it, you will see it in the inventory screen like in this screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3369821352

While the code differs per player, it will be permanent--once you enter it the first time, you will be able to use it for all subsequent runs. The Cargo Elevator code also works the same way.

Also a small tip: when entering the code, you don't need to move the cursor or click--you can actually just type the code on the keyboard and it works.

Ah, okay. I was starting to fret I would have overlooked something otherwise obvious. But a random drop makes sense and is a relieve to hear.
Thanks again.

You're welcome! Hope you can pick the code item up soon, since that extra Nethercube at the start of the run definitely helps.

Got it now. ;)
It was waiting for me in the last save room before the heavy lifter.

Ah, gotcha. Glad you got it! Enjoy the free Nethercube in future runs :D

The code is actually different for each player (like, tied to the save file), so the best way to find the code is by getting the item. Once you obtain the code, it will remain the same without changing!

I did hear that it is possible to brute-force it by trying every combination, so that is another way as well.

If you are unsure whether you got the item or not, you can check your inventory and go to the "Critical Assets" section, like shown in the screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3369821352

The Cargo Elevator code works similarly--though that would be another item.

Hope this helps!

Perhaps you could add something like a "An access code can be found at a later time/deeper level", since it has people confused or searching for a puzzle and solution that aren't there

The character saying "Maybe I find the code deeper inside. Might come back to this one.." or something like it?

Thank you, RawrKitteh and Darklingtw. I shared your suggestions for the team's review :D

It helped me explain to the team by having the take that the code could be understood as a puzzle to solve for progression, as well as having a potential solution to follow up with. Much thanks to both of you!
