The security room's code can be found as an item that is dropped during runs--it usually comes from investigating objects.
When you have it, you will see it in the inventory screen like in this screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3369821352
While the code differs per player, it will be permanent--once you enter it the first time, you will be able to use it for all subsequent runs. The Cargo Elevator code also works the same way.
Also a small tip: when entering the code, you don't need to move the cursor or click--you can actually just type the code on the keyboard and it works.
Thanks again.
It was waiting for me in the last save room before the heavy lifter.
I did hear that it is possible to brute-force it by trying every combination, so that is another way as well.
If you are unsure whether you got the item or not, you can check your inventory and go to the "Critical Assets" section, like shown in the screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3369821352
The Cargo Elevator code works similarly--though that would be another item.
Hope this helps!
It helped me explain to the team by having the take that the code could be understood as a puzzle to solve for progression, as well as having a potential solution to follow up with. Much thanks to both of you!
