Will this game work with Densha de Go controller?

I have a Switch Densha de Go controller, I am wondering if anyone knows how much trouble it would be to make it work with this game? Seems like it would be worth a try but I'm not sure how different the games are.

I have the Nintendo Switch controller as well! I read somewhere that they are going to eventually support "external controller" in the Full release of this game. Will stay tuned for that!

Short answer: Yes!

Long answer:
I got mine a few days ago and can say: It works with 3rd party program from the guys that made the OHC-PC01A controller. Their driver supports the DGOC-44U and DGC-255 according to their website. I tried the DGOC-44U and it works neatly. Grab the Konkyu.JRETS.DenGoControllerInterface_v2.1.zip file at https://www.konkyu.net/JRETSDenGoControllerInterface

PS: I think the Type 2 is TCPP-20012 for PS2.
PPS: And that the ZUIKI (ZKNS-001,002,011,012,013 (DDG, Exclusive, Red, Blue, Black) should work with JRETS should be stated elsewhere in the forums.

For those of you who do not know, the ZUIKI controller is now officially supported by a recent update. The instructions for setting it up can be found on page 28 of the manual.

Other controller devices continue to require third-party tools.

Same here! Wanted one for a while and finally getting JRETS gave me the perfect excuse to pull the trigger. Mine hasn't arrived yet though, the wait is killing me lol.
