JRETS Guide français
Je ne sais pas si cela intéressera des joueurs français mais, depuis quelques jours, je fais un guide en français afin d'expliquer tout ce qu'il faut savoir pour pouvoir jouer a JRETS, que ce soit pour jouer avec les aides ou sans.
J'y détaille également chaque ligne (dans la limite de celles que je possède) ainsi que les écrans de chaque train.

A noter qu'il s'agit d'un complément du "Driver's guide" (cf. la discussion épinglée), et non pas d'un remplacement (je ne détaille pas le trajet/timetable de chaque ligne).

Bonjour Cracrayol, un grand bravo pour ton travail et un grand merci d'avoir partagé ton guide.

j'aimerai savoir si tu as toi aussi un problème avec l'affichage en jeu. Pour ma part je suis en 1080p mais tout est baveux voir illisible.

Quand tu dit baveux/illisible, tu parle de toute l'interface ou des écrans des trains ?

Problème résolu. Effectivement c'était bien un problème de mis à l'échelle. De bas je suis a 125% (recommandé), mais quand je passe à 100% plus de problème. L'interface du jeu et de la cabine et parfaitement lisible.

Je vais voir si il est possible de régler 100% uniquement pour ce jeu car pour les autre jeux je n'ai pas de problème.

Encore merci pour votre aide.

Ps: je vous recommande vivement le controller Zuiki de Densha de Go sur Switch, c'est bien plus fun que la sourie ou la manette.

Please read carefully the thread I just attached, which describes how to make it apply only to games.
Right-click on JREAST_TrainSimulator.exe, select Properties, open the Compatibility tab and click on "Change High DPI Settings" to bring up the High DPI Settings window.
Next, check the two checkboxes "Program DPI" and "Override High DPI Scale Settings".
Select "When this program is opened" and "Application" for the pull-down menus below the check boxes, respectively, and click "Apply.
Now you should see no loss of image quality even with the scaling set to 125%.

Si votre jeu est flou, baveux ou illisible, cela viens d'un problème de mis à l'échelle.

(je suis sous Windows 11)

Pour résoudre le problème faire un clic droit sur JREAST_TrainSimulator.exe, sélectionné propriété puis l’onglet compatibilité. Clic sur modifier les paramètres PPP élevés, cocher la case dans PPP du programme et la case dans remplacement de mise à l'échelle PPP élevé. Appuyer sur OK. Pour finir appuyer sur APPLIQUER et OK.

Regarding the explanation of security devices on this page, I think it would be even better if you could describe the ATS-P used on the Tokaido Line and Chuo Line, among others.
In particular, there are many beginners who are stopped by ATS normal brake operation due to overspeed at the stop signal at Toyota Station on the Chuo Line.
The official version of the guide does not provide detailed instructions on how to release it, so it may be mistaken for game over here.
At this time, the emergency brake is not enough, and the brake must be left in the normal use position (B1~B8) and the Y key (normal use return switch) must be pressed to release it.
Incidentally, if you ignore the stop signal and try to proceed, the ATS emergency brake operation will be activated and the train will stop, followed by the message "ATS-P emergency brake operation. Please contact the Transportation Control. An automatic announcement from TIMS will be played, "ATS-P emergency brake operation.
In this case, the U key (emergency return switch) must be pressed with the brake in the emergency position to release it.

cracrayol, the train information monitoring system installed on the Yamanote Line E235 Series is not TIMS, but its successor, called INTEROS.
JR East's train information monitoring system started with MON in the 80's, evolved to TIMS, and now INTEROS installed in the E235 series is the latest version.

As for the explanatory pages for each line, I think it is wonderful that even the history of the lines is explained.
However, as a Japanese, I am familiar with JR, which I use for my daily commute, but I think that most French people, unless they are a train enthusiast, do not know much about JR.
Therefore, I think it would be better to explain the history of JR and the cars that can be played.

As you know, the heavily indebted Japan National Railways (JNR) was divided and privatized in 1987 to form the Japan Railways (JR), but the rolling stock inherited from the JNR had all become decrepit and obsolete in terms of performance.

⑤ATOS (Autonomous decentralized Transport Operation control System): A computer system installed by JR East on lines in the Tokyo metropolitan area to manage information related to train operations and control equipment. ⑥As for the AC section of the Joban Line, the reason why we are switching from DC to AC is because the geomagnetic observation station of the Japan Meteorological Agency in Ibaraki conducts geomagnetic observations.
Geomagnetic field observation requires measurement over a long period of time (decades), and the switch from AC to DC would result in a loss of data (AC is said to have little effect on geomagnetic field observation).

⑦An air section is a section on a train line where two overhead lines are arranged in parallel. It is a facility installed on an overhead line to separate different power systems between substations that supply power to an electric train line or for maintenance and inspection reasons.
On conventional lines, they are installed at the boundary points between different substations.
If the line stops in this section, the pantograph short-circuits both overhead lines with a potential difference, the trolley wire strength decreases due to the heat generated in the contact area and breaks due to its own tension, or an arc is generated between the overhead line and the pantograph due to the separation of the two lines, and this arc can increase due to the short-circuit current between the two overhead lines. This arc may melt the trolley wire due to the increased arc current caused by the short-circuit current between the overhead wires and the pantograph.
In order to indicate the presence of an air section, a railroad sign called a "train line classification marker" or "section marker" is posted at the location where the air section is installed.
In the game, if you try to stop in an air section, a warning will appear on the TIMS screen and a warning voice in Japanese will play, "This is an air section.
In fact, if they have no choice but to stop in the air section, they lower the pantographs to avoid a short circuit.
