Always wanted Train Simulator based in Japan
It is now 100% on my wish-list and possible day one buy, I always wanted routes/trains in Train Sims, but none in the market had what I wanted, and I am really looking forward to this game.

Good Luck and Thank You.

Ironically, JR is a factor in the scarcity of Japanese routes, because they don't give out licenses internationally, and even domestically it's a hassle apparently. So seeing this being published by JR East themselves was a huge surprise, but also gives reason to expect a high quality product.

Check out Japanese Rail Sim Journey to Kyoto if it isn't on your radar. It's comfy and it seems like JR East is similar game using live action video.

I hope Densha De Go comes to steam as well cause the mechanics are deeper than what you can do with a game that uses live action video. Plus, they're just leaving money on the table if they didn't.

I'm just amazed were getting something like this before a Densha De Go game released on steam. Either way, I'm happy to see more Japanese Train Sims pop up on steam.

Same, I am really looking forward to this one. It's really nice to finally see japanese train simulators popping up on Steam. From the preview video I like how there is no low framerate when stopping/starting at stations, which is usually an issue with most of these pre-recorded train simulators.

Tried the demo of this one and it's really nice. I loved the usage of the controller, how it vibrated through junctions and rail joints, and how you use the joysticks as the control handled in it. I really hope this simulator will do the same as well.

PS.: Now only if the PS4 Densha de GO would release on Steam as well. Man, that would be the dream!

Im so excited about this. I'm a huge train nerd, especially Japanese trains. Great that they are finally appearing on steam rather than having to buy hardcopies through Asia Play or from friends in Japan. The Steam blurb makes it sound like there's early access available but I dont see a download link

I hope they will add suburban lines soon and not charge too high prices for DLCs.

Thanks but I prefer train simulators with FMV live-action images like Ongaukan games (few on PS2, two for PS3 Railfun series)) and Sonic Powered series Japanese Train Sim 3d (3 games on Switch, 1 PC and 6 or 7 for 3DS).

Is this just video of the view out of a train front window? It doesnt look like rendered images? So it will be exactly the same every time you play it on the same route? Pants. that's not a simulator. It's a film.

Basically yes. But it's still enjoyable, especially with no other proper japanese train simulator on the market.
