Crash After Darkwater
Hey friends. I really enjoyed the first area of the game and want to keep playing, but it crashes every single time I finish the cutscenes at the end of Darkwater. I can't seem to find any obvious solutions online that don't involve a mysterious exe file. Steam checked the integrity of the files, but no luck. Any thoughts are appreciated. Should I just uninstall and reinstall?

If anybody is curious, I talked with Sega support and their answer was basically "sorry, it doesn't work on Windows 10"

This problem has nothing to do with Windows 10. I have the same problem with Windows 7, Windows XP and Playstation 3.
Sega never patched the game. Unfortunately, Viking Battle for Asgard has always been a technical disaster. Still, I love this game.
I can only give you the tip to keep trying.
I restarted my PC and won the Battle of Darkwater for the third time. Fortunately, the game didn't crash after that. I have installed the latest Windows 10. The game works just as well / badly as on any other operating system.

Keep trying :Odin:

Did anyone find a solution for this? Spent 5 hours trying to get past this crash and no luck.

I never discovered a solution that didn't involve downloading some sketchy executable. I do not recommend those approaches if you come across them. As for the "keep trying" solution, I tried seven times to no avail and then realized I had better things to do with my time.

I'm running Windows 10 and i'm having no issues whatsoever, no crashes, glitches or anything. Have you tried running in compatibility mode?

I did and it didn't fix the problem.

I eventually got past it. It was a problem with another program I had open.
