(Selaco has a team Beef VR mod)
Yeah and it's okay.
I'd say sprites are better than low-poly like, say, in Compound (unless it's heavily stylized low-poly like Superhot and its imitations, did one myself).
However, as a rando from the internets I have authority on the subject and I'd heavily suggest playing Pistol Whip instead (if you didn't already).
This is the closest reference to Muillet MadJack and it's very much successful (not GT or BS levels, but very much respectable).
Also I'll get flamed for it, but PCVR is 1/10th of standalone Quest 2/3 VR, all the sales and userbase are there now.
At first I tried to be diligent and went through the hoops of attaching Pico 4 wired, but then decided to half-ass it and just used Steam Link on Quest 2 with both the laptop and HMD connected to Wi-Fi because I don't care that much about dead platforms.
The resulting experience is both for devs only and pretty encouraging.
Out of the box the distance between cameras is too high, menuing is awful, head bob is inverted in-HMD and story segments are jank (for instance, you ride outside the car in the intro sequence, but the phone sprite is, of course, screenspace and ahead of you).
All in all this is a no-go for a casual user, can't even select English language as it's too high in the list and the distance between cameras will definitely give you a headache.
However, if you're able to overlook that (you shouldn't; at least no more than for 3-4 minutes tops in one go) the action itself is suprisingly nice.
Yeah, there are seams between sprites, but the action is so in your face that who cares.
Good potenshual.
Here are some proofs and I'm off uninstalling all the Facebook and Bytedance drek:
