This mode is confusing me a bit. It says when you start that you don't get any permanent powers, but then it still offers you the permanent upgrades (gun upgrades, keep upgrade on death, and reroll) between floors. This seems intended, but I don't know why the description says you don't get them.

Then if you die, the permanent upgrades still work. It doesn't delete your save or anything. It starts you over at floor 1 but it has even let me keep my lv 3 infinite ammo pistol. That makes it seem like I'm supposed to manually delete the save and start over?

What's the intended behavior for permanent upgrades in permadeath?

it was not let you upgrade at first, but people are having a lot of fun with it, so maybe we will change the rules with the community.
