No TimeGate Studios file

I'm trying to get widescreen, but I have no TimeGate Studios file, and no settings.cfg file.

Can anyone help?

Did you specifically look in C:\Users\Public\Documents\TimeGate Studios\FEARXP?

Yes, all the way until Public\Documents, but the folder is empty

No idea then mate, try re-installing ? No idea.

You have to run the game first obviously for that file to be generated. If that's not the case, then go to Steam\steamapps\common\FEAR Ultimate Shooter Edition\FEARXP and run ConfigXP.exe. Tweak some setting there.
Perhaps you're looking in the wrong path. Press Win+R combination and type in %public%
If still no luck then no idea.

If anyone finds this thread and needs a solution:

I found it by going to my C drive with windows pathfinder, and then just doing a search for "TimeGate Studios" without the quotation marks. You can also try searching for "FEARXP". It takes a while to find it, but it eventually did. The path is a really strange one, with the folders actually being named something completely different, and with many more subfolders, than what is says when I copy the file path.

The path copied from pathfinder:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\TimeGate Studios

The path it actually has, translated from Danish to English:
This PC > OS (C:) > Users > Shared files > Shared documents > TimeGate Studios
