Hope that helps ^-^
I will keep thinking but I will stay with the idea that create a chess game without saving option is a bit strange and inappropirate.
Its become my only Chess game right now...well, apart from Battle Vs for the mooment : D (which I am finding quite fun and interesting...but I am a long standing Chess addict, and so easily pleased with novelty
Anyway, Shredder allows saving..AND you can play on your PC/Laptop online in a browser (though maybe not with the free version....at least not to have results added to your stats/rating....)
I really love the move analyser and a number of other advanced features that other games dont really have or are not quite as welll implemeneted...also a massive moves library..
Most importantly I find the Ai a swine...though of course this is always pretty subjective....except to real Pros !
I do reccomend the Shredder though..worth a try at least.
I wouldnt just ignore this game either just because of the save game thing (I was unaware of this...due to GFWL shutdown is it? Or was just never in the game?)
There are a LOT of modes and various puzzles that take hardly any time at all to play through...its quite cleverly 'pick up and play' for a chess game I think!
I havent even played it at standard chess yet, and Ive been playing it all night : D
If you are a chess fan then you cant really go wrong with this game...its a welll done bit of work....
I'm exactly the same - not going to buy a chess game I can't even save my progress. Wtf? All they effort they put into designing this game then omit such a fundamental basic (and easy to implement!) feature. Come on devs, really.
I want to buy the game but thankfully I noticed on one of the reviews it doesn't have a save feature. Unless that's changed since then, my money's staying in my pocket.
