they are not asking for other games. they are asking about this game.
Im a total war player. A fan of the more traditional (superior in my opinion) older titles like Medieval 2 and Rome 1.
Your quote isnt as far fetched as you think it is. Total war without the battles is a perfectly fine way to play. Your essentially just pressing "Auto Resolve" on every battle for the purpose of focusing on empire building and economic simulation on the campaign map. Back when Total War cared about campaign play and not just the battles (even though the battles were superior in the older titles).
The equivalent here is to play kingmakers as an RTS without engaging with the Third Person Shooting aspect. I dont see why we cant choose to focus on one over the other. Like total war, a game is better with both aspects but sometimes some people will prefer one style over the other.
I too would like to wade in as a fellow swordsman in a squad, shoulder to shoulder with my men hacking and slashing my way into the castle interior.
Yeah yeah, "play mount and blade for that" but why not here?? Its like asking "you want to ride a horse in an rpg? Play Barbie Horse Adventure for that, this is an RPG". Its all about variety in play style.
I hope so, your cover image for the game is literally them on a horse with an assault rifle.
Don't want to give people the wrong impression after all.
