The "endgame" close the game.
The "dream" close the game.
The videos get discovered inside boxes and the way to reach "the dream" is inside the same box as the videos.
So 6 mantra, ending. 6 boxes, ending... And both together, ending?
The 4th video talks about a "lightning" that would be a "awe"some video game...
It's also how you can find "666" everywhere (and it's a bit my therory there so I am probably seeing too much.
Yet the videos are hexagonal shape while all the other puzzles are not.... you know... 6.
And my profile is The Prisonner... you know... not a number... ok I should stop thinking about that for now and go back to solving puzzles...
I had so much hope making a connection between "flickering light" and the 3rd video... Guess I need to look elsewhere...
There are. 7 movies... 7 boxes. I missed one.
Well if I stick with the others:
Star at dawn... The image at the end of the first video with the end credits.
Bubble... Surface tension in the 2nd video
Lightning... "maybe in our lifetime a game design will flash our culture, just like lightning" in the 4th video
If I stick to the 3rd video... It's snowing at the end so it does not work.
Flickering lamp... 3rd movie or the "intermittent (open empty luminance)" of the 5th movie (or when the projector light actually flickers at some point)
Phantom... 6th movie "what you think you are is old and dead"
Dream... I need to check the 3rd and 5th movie again. If I remember correctly I would say the 3rd just after he died when he see himself as a child. But that's not near an exit (or at the beginning of a video).
Going from death to thinking you are dead... Up to a new dawn/renew.
Maybe those sentences are said at junction points reaching the same exit than the first video... (that is the case for some)
And there would be an 8th movie.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.... It works! It does nothing but it works! Gonna try the second ending, see if it's different!!!
Wouhouuu
The normal ending has a short movie (more like talking, while flying around).
The secret ending has a bigger movie.
If you count all these, then you can count eight movies in total in this game. :)
Flickering Light could refer to one of the videos. In one of the videos, a man tries to walk from one wall to another, while trying to keep a candle burning. Because of how the wind is blowing, the candle is definitely flickering.
And a deeper possible explanation: flickering light might refer to our lives: either: we live and we die, or: we have our bright moments and we have our dull moments (whether we live normally, or do science). Example: a scientist will fail many times before inventing something valuable - the man had to walk many times before being able to succeed in keeping the candle burning.
If you want to have fun take all the videos "junctions" and listen to what they say... Surface tension fits perfectly, the lightning game also (if this is the right answer, man people are gonna call Blow names... but I would find that so AWEsome ;D )
Why are people saying it's Blow in the second ending? I guess he filmed that in his working location (and man! What a great place!) but nothing says it's not "us" waking up.
From the audio log... I guess we don't know what the Island is, just that you access it in a dream state, you can't remember it and that it has access to your subconsious mind (and I guess that's why they are working on the audio log and "what they imagine" while recording them).
Both ending close the game, so both ending are wake ups option (as they say they were going in with the option to leave "when they chosed" (as opposed as controlled by someone else I think)).
Clearly, the second woman checked the first one who get there for psychological problems.
Then they worked together on what images they wanted in their head before going in for a longer time... And I think the island is what they BUILD while under "influence" by their dreams and the speaches... And from some statues, from the zen garden. I think the experiment went... wrong. I think they forgot to leave and went insane.
Ending 1 : Maybe we were sent there to investigate and are starting to make connections but if we exit through the "end game" that was build as a the main way to get out, just like the Pionners we wake up not remembering what happened when we start the game again. So we start anew when we reconnect.
Ending 2 : Or we can come out by another way, one build by the "lotus company" to investigate... and this exit makes us remember some stuff...seeing patterns everywhere but not the whole pictue. Therefore when we go back in the game from this point we '"remember" where we left off...
But it would mean now we should stop looking at the simple "connections" but we should start looking between the lines. What the creator did (the buildings)?
Did they went insane looking for a God (for the one who read to much religious text) they could not reach?
Looking at the nature until no soul was left (from the colorfull puzzles to the desert) for the materialistic?
Thinking of themselves while the others were drawning in their desillutions for the individualistic?
Loosing themselves inside nature for the holistic?
Can we match one person with one school of thoughts from the audio logs they took while going to the Island?
Why were they on the Island?
To a spiritual place for other people it seems...
Is it "Imagine Park/World", except the imagination went wild and killed them (like Jurassic but with ideas)?
Can we save one or all of them from the Island?
That would be the 7th video about "Dream" :
In a box in the hidden cave just before the endgame success (can be opened only with 11 lasers) there is a puzzle you cannot draw, it is in fact the gate opening puzzle from the begining castle. Draw it there and you'll discover the true end of the game with the credits en really big mansion. In the real end portal you get to see the final video.
It's a very jarring experience to end on, though I'm not dismissing it :p to me psalm46 is the real ending but looking to the secret ending and completed obelisks as finishers both seem to raise more questions than they answer :P
