The first puzzle you you show there is in a ruined church with an easy way in, and a locked door. That locked door seems mandatory to solve the puzzle. To solve it though, you need to solve ANOTHER puzzle nearby, And yet, that's not enough.
It's by far the most challenging area for me thus far.
Best explaination. Are there tutorial puzzles for this application? Maybe I have not explored enough.
Are these names documented somewhere (ventilator, eraser) or just common on the forums?
The names are just as found on the forums.
If you opened the door directly in front of this puzzle, you can look at the puzzle from outside. In that case, you can position yourself in such a way that something will be partially obstructing the puzzle, making only one path through it possible.
The VILLAGE/TOWN is the final section - the culmination of all tricks and magic. Unless you have solved all other areas, don't even try. :-)
As mentioned above, the village is the final place to be solving. This puzzle/picture you've linked, there are puzzles identical to it in another region of the map, go back and check to see how you solved those, and it'll spark your memory into how you can solve this one. The village doesn't have any extra challenges, they are all exactly as taught around the entire island.
