Shipwreck door hint help
Hey guys. Currently the only regular puzzles that I have left available to solve (that I know of) are the shipwreck door, and the music time attack (in which the third puzzle seems to be the same as the shipwreck door).

I've been twisting my brain over this for some dozen hours now, but I can't see to make sense of what the solution is, so I figured I'd ask for some hints.
From what I can infer, the puzzle seems to mix the mirrored line color prism collection rule, with the pitch prism collection rule. The waterdrops seem to create a looping high-mid-low pitch, which for the existing prisms sizes should only work by doing mid-low-high-mid-low-high-mid, but I can't see to figure out a way to catch the prisms correctly in that order.

Am I right on the money with my theory but just haven't worked out the correct path? Am I missing something? Is one of my assumptions wrong perhaps? Some nudging in the right direction without outright spoiling would be great.

Listen more carefully to the sounds, this time noting where the longer intervals of silence are.

Also, try to separate the types of sounds you can hear... is it really only dripping water?

Alright, I wrote down the horn sounds, and they seem to loop high-mid-low-mid-high-mid... Which could make the solution high-mid-low-mid-high-mid-low or low-mid-high-mid-low-mid-high.

I tried doing low-mid-high-mid-low-mid-high (like so http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=617468915 ) but it doesn't seem to be it, and I can't find a way to do high-mid-low-mid-high-mid.

Am I still on the wrong track somehow?

How many lines are being traced in this puzzle? If you're unsure what this means, try crossing the middle point of the puzzle.

Now that this is sorted out, think back at the previous question on the types of sounds... what if you were to separate more than just those?

I thought I made it clear that I've acknowledged the invisible mirror line rule is in place. :p
In the screenshot I posted, the bottom-left line should be getting all the pink hex, and the top-right line should be getting all the yellow hex (and in which the hexes are being touched in low-mid-high-mid-low-mid-high pitch order).

But huh, more sounds than the waterdrops and the horns? I'll have to go back in and listen for more.

Kay, I went back in, but I still don't get it. There's splashing from the water, and random creaking from the boat, but they don't seem to make a rythm. And I don't see a way to logically combine the waterdrops and horn/hull creak noises into a solution.

Man, there have been some obtuse puzzles prior to this, but this one seems to take the cake handily. Any other small hint would be appreciated.

I'll put all the hints I've provided together, it's the closest I can get you to the solution without flat-out showing you the panel or telling you which hexagon comes after which: Assign one traceline to the water drops and the other to the creaking of the rusty metal. Watch for when the sequence of sounds repeats itself. You can tell a sequence is over when followed by a break about twice as long as the ones before it. For the creaking, you have to wait about 3-4 mins at least to hear a complete sequence, so don't come to a conclusion too fast.

Ahhh, timing the sounds made everything super clear. Finally managed to solve it. Thanks a lot!

Now I solved it too. The Hint that help me was:
Hint 1: The colors aren't different sounds
Hint 2: The colors stand for the time between the next note/sound

Umm, if that worked for you that's interesting because that's not how the puzzle works.

strangely enough, I decided that the whole audio portion was a red herring because I couldn't make it match what I was hearing at all. So I tried the only solution I could find that would go through all the hexes, and it worked. Maybe I just got lucky... is there any way you can solve the puzzle but also get the order of the hexes wrong?

You can connect all the hexagons and reach the finish line but this is not enough to solve the puzzle. You have to get the order right

To anyone else struggling with this one, don't feel bad if you can't solve it. I believe this puzzle is not only one of the hardest but also - AS FAR AS I THINK - has a major FLAW which is... POTENTIAL SPOILER:

One of the black hexagons should have been coloured. Meaning: the sound of that belongs to a coloured sequence
