Accidentally Trapped Myself in Mountain
I accidentally trapped myself in the mountain on the orange/blue line puzzle. I erased the blue line and then the orange line, and now I can't get back to the blue side using the orange line. However, I can't figure out a way back over that doesn't just completely block off the blue line and all of my saves put me way back. Does anyone have any solutions to this puzzle starting from the orange side?

There is a solution for the puzzle from the orange side as well. You have to iterate by tracing a path back to and from the blue side a couple of times, though (yes, that's possible to do).

To confirm, you are currently on the orange side, with a blank grid in front of yourself? If so, then you are fortunatly not trapped.

Knowing such, I believe you may want to complete the puzzle yourself. To nevertheless provide a hint, you may have assumed that the stars must be divided by both the blue and orange lines, when it is suffice to divide the stars using only one line.

If this was not the problem you were encountering, a solution is below.

Solution
On the orange side, complete the puzzle as to allow yourself to cross to the blue side, ignoring the blue line. On the blue side, move the blue line directly left/ right and then down (to whatever puzzle exit is still available). Cross again, back to the orange side, and complete the orange line as shown within the screenshot. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=617133765

I should note, this solution will not allow you to find a hidden Obelisk puzzle on the blue lines underside, although it will allow you to progress.

I'm on the Orange side and the entire thing is blank, yeah. I'm just having trouble figuring out a good path to get me back over to blue that will still allow me to use the blue line.

Take heart; it is completely possible. Vague hint: the blue line doesn't need to be the one that goes to the exit on the side. As long as you can leave enough room for the blue line to go to one of the two exits on the same side as its starting point, you can complete the puzzle. So try to use the orange line as if it were the only line available, and just leave a gap on the blue side.

I know it's an old post, but since I found myself in the same situation but in end game I realized that for reasons they both must be connectable to the exit door, one at a time obv, and it seemed strange to me that from the situation aforementioned there was no hope to go back to a situation where you can make a path to the exit with the blue line, so I found a solution.

In short:
There is a way, starting from each side with clear board, to have the exit connected in blue or in orange and restore original situation.

Althought to have orange to exit I think you have to "lock" yourself on the other side as you did, and solve as the guys above me mentioned.

But if you want to restore the original situation, which it's in blue side with clear board, which allows you to end to the exit with the blue path, you can do simply this, if you are stuck on orange side:

This puzzle is a lot of work. I always spend a lot of time on it because it's so hard to envision all of the steps it takes to get to the solution. Some day I'll get there though.
