VSync toggle behavior
Just thought I'd put this here because VSync doesn't want to behave.

If it's off, I get 100+ fps ingame and there is absolutely no screen tearing.

If it's on, I get locked at 75 fps (even though my monitor only does 60 hz) and I get bucketloads of screen tearing when turning the camera.

I just thought it's weird that the 'on' setting introduces the tearing and thought I'd post this.

Playing on Win 7 64 bit, i3 2120 @ 3.3 ghz, 8 gb ram, R9 380 4gb.

The real question is why VSync sets it to 75 Hz for your system. And I don't have an answer. Maybe turning off VSync in the game and forcing it via the GPU's settings will do the trick? I assume there is something similar to the Nvidia Control Panel for AMD cards.

Scratch that! Vsync still locks me at 75 fps but now there's no screen tearing.

Thanks for posting this. Was having heaps of issues regarding frame drops happening randomly. Turned the game off in an area that was getting around 30fps on high settings at 4k and restarted with vsync off and found that my framerate did not drop under 60fps. Highest was around 120fps on the following setup.

gtx 980 sli (sli not working correctly game will use anywhere up to 90% on card 1 and only about max 14% on 2nd card) i7 5930k @ 3.5ghz, 32gb ram, win7 64bit.

I disable Vsync and limit the framerate using RTSS. No problem then. The discomfort comes from the drop in framerate, let us say from 90 to 60 FPS. If the framerate cannot go higher than 60 FPS, you won't notice any drop and the game will be fluid.
