Extremely crackly audio
Hi - Can't seem to play this game without getting crackly / echo-y audio at every turn. Makes the game unplayable sadly. I am playing on a laptop with an integrated sound card but I have never had this problem with any other game before

Having same echo crackling issue on windows 10 with realtek integrated audio card. It would seem like audio is being rendered twice with a slight delay resulting in echo and of saturation.

yes - that's exactly how it sounds for me too. Thanks for articulating it better than I managed!

I am having this problem as well. I thought updating drivers fixed it, but it only made it a bit better. The crackling is most notable for me when I'm an an area with heavy deep sounds, like next to rumbling things in the game.

Same here, first happened to me in that room with the pottery after the first double snake puzzle. Not sure what's causing it, tried restarting my audio interface and plugging my headphones into my PC directly to no avail.

I have VIA HD audio, but i'm using a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 audio interface. Both audio sources have the problem

Count me in on having this problem. I am having it in the exact same places mentioned earlier, so it doesn't seem to be random

Did you try changing your settings for the interface in windows? You could try messing with the Default Format under Advanced (try 2 channel, 16bit) and allow exclusive mode. Also disable any effects that might be turned on.

I'll give it a shot and get back to you, thanks!

Unfortunately switching the format didn't help, I tried all of the 2 channel 16 bit options.

Having exactly the same problem- echo and crackling, realtek audio. Right from the start of the game.

Also having the crackling problem, didn't notice until that room with the pottery too. I'm on Realtek High Definition Audio. Driver is 6.0.1.6699. Might be out of date. I didn't check, but I thought I would report.
