Ha ha...
I don't think there will be any puzzles aimed at math, but being good at math will definitely help.
(This is a guess BTW :D)
This game will, as far as I've understood, have over 650 puzzles so there will most likely be puzzles ranging from easy to barely possible.
The Witness is a game about epiphanies. It's all about that feeling of seeing something you don't understand, letting your subconcious process it, and then finally having an "aha!" moment. The game will start with fairly easy to grasp concepts and it steadily builds on that. I have every confidence that you can finish the core game because it obviously interests you. There are a few very difficult puzzles (not all of which are required to finish the game) so it's really up to you how high the difficulty goes. If you enjoy those lightbulb moments though, by all means, keep pushing yourself to higher limits. And if you get stuck somewhere, just remember: you have a whole island to explore. Good luck.
Ha ha, so that is why you didn't get the game? (Jokes, I didn't even check)
No, that's just the only puzzles they have shown.
Try Portal 2 or other puzzle game .
