I got the Steam key. I activated it (as usual with my other humble purchases) and when I launch it from steam it just say "running" on the side window pane and it cuts out. Nothing happens. Nothing runs. I never enter into the game. I try it a few times with the same result. My other games run fine.
I tried uninstalling and verifying the download. No fix.
What is interesting to note though is that I tried an old computer - Windows 7 - and it works. I at least enter into the game. I never played it through. It is laggy on my lowest settings - it's an old computer.
My intention was to play it on Windows 10 - my current workstation - and no bueno.
I just sent in a ticket to humble for the first time and hopefully I can get this resolved. I'm asking if I can just try the DRM and see if that works. So if you had to pick between the key or DRM-Free, just letting you know that my Steam key for Windows 10 doesn't work but it worked on my Windows 7 machine.
Just a warning.
From the bundle, I downloaded and was able to successfully launch Stardew.
And this is the first non-launchable game I got from Humble.
I'm guessing it is just my specific computer that may be the problem if the other users above were able to launch it on their windows 10 machine.
You should post your log file over on the tech support forum. The devs are active there and will help you out.

Ok sweet. Thanks for the tip. I didn't know about this. I'll post my log.
In any case, I bumped my nvidia drivers from 376.53 to 378.66. I usually don't update cause it hogs my main drive.

This was the relevant thread where I got the idea to try an update to my driver.
The Invisibl say to bump to 378.49. I just went with the latest one for today at 2_16_17.
Again, I'm Windows 10. Hope this helps anyone else.
you can just delete the old ones in c:\NVIDIA from time to time.
Yup! And also C:\ProgramFiles\NvidiaCorp\Installer2

Though even after that I lost a gig purely from the update lol
