Greenhouse elevator hint?
Hi, I'm stuck at the greenhouse elevator. All the walkthroughs I'm seeing are telling me the solution when I really want a hint. I'm pretty sure the answer has to do with the lighting color, and I have to guess what the puzzle would look like under green lighting (since I'm trying to go to the green floor - I think) So am I supposed to use the puzzles and tinted windows in the first area as a baseline and estimate from there? I tried doing that and got really lost. Any advice on how to think about this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

You are heading in the right direction, you just have to workout the actual color of the dots then realize how the colors mix with light color. It's easier than you think.

Edit: You are trying to skip the green floor. The cable is broken.

I actually figured that if you got a smart phone, you can get apps to tint your camera :P

But yeah, I think that level is the broken one. I am not even sure how I got past it, seemed it might have been a bit random maybe, because I did not use the tint app. Also it would only work if its not already seen with a tint.

I guess I might have just brute forced past that one, just guessing which colours might be the ones that would be together that had not already been together.

yeah that's what I did too. Just guessed. Luckily I only had to guess like 2-3 times before getting the right answer. I even remember what the answer was, if you want another hint

Personally i remembered which colors were different and then just kinda brute-forced through.
Though i believe I figured out how it's supposed to be solved soon afterwards.

You'll need a pen and paper for this.
On each floor, mark down the colors that each square appears to be.
Once you reach the broken floor, look at your notes and deduce which blocks are the same color and which ones are different depending on if they are the same color each floor.

From there you can either start guessing or go back to the first floor and use the flowers and tinted windows to deduce what colors the blocks are.

Was it really that complex? I just tried covering up the blocks that appeared blue since I was in the blue room at the time

You don't need brute force, also you'll be far more satisfied if you figure it out by logical deduction.

All you need is a fast revision of some basic physics concepts, this page contains all the essential informations:

http://www.physicsclassroom.com/class/light/Lesson-2/Color-Subtraction

You don't need to study it all, just read it until you can answer correctly to exercises 3-4-6 at the end of the page, then you'll be able to deduce every single colour of every single square in the elevator panel (same thing for the two secret colour panels in this other area: town)

Or you can get a camera up for your phone with a tint feature, or in this one case, just brute force it since there are so few options left.

I just took a picture on my phone of each floor and then just guessed the correct solution based on the different colours from previous floors.
My first guess was the correct answer.

I think you can infer the color you need to separate in the elevator panel from the fruits on the level that you are stuck in. That approach is fairly hidden but it works.

You can actually go straight to the top floor from there. I drew out the first 4 floor panels, and by comparing them (ignoring tint all together!) you can deduce which boxes are made of the same colour.
