Games Like Rune Classic?

Are there more games like Rune Classic? I loved this game and now that I know I like this type of thing, I'm looking for more. :D

If anyone has some ideas please comment.

Edit: Also if there are more Rune games let me know, I would love to continue this series if there are more.

rune was and still is very unique too bad that there never was a secound comming-
Maybe Overlord has some elements of the hackn slay but totaly different setting-
Dungeon Lords, but its more like a roleplaying game with some hackn slay elements
darksiders is pretty good-
or if you like more dark Age games Dantes Inferno.
Im also searching a wiking game wich is a bit like rune, but didnt get some yet.

Enclave plays exactly like Rune, the difference is Rune is a lot freaking fun and Enclave isn't.

the reason why rune doesn't have a sequel is because as quickly as vikings became popular they were forgotten and i remember it too. 2001-2002 so i'm guessing human head were scared a 2nd game wouldn't be successful. now? probably it's fresh and at least isn't about aliens trying to kick our asses. i don't want to ruin the story for anyone who hasn't finished the game but at the end of the final mission that's another reason why a rune 2 isn't possible

If you are looking for a hack'n'slash game from early 2000's I can recommend you Severance Blade of Darkness. Fighting system is much more complex (that's why a lot of people were comparing this game to ridiculous Dark Souls series) and nowdays might fell very choppy and "rusty" yet it's still worth your time. You can finish game with one out of 4 characters with different fighting styles and collect ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of weapons, shields and artifacts, slay orcs, trolls or huge dragons also can't forget to add taht game is a bit gorey! Yeah you can dismember enemies like in other older game called Die by the Sword (this one was pretending to be sword figthing simulator but imho nowdays it's unplayable...).

Yeah, Blade: Edge of Darkness. Its graphics today do not look good (a game from 2000-2001, don't remember), but if you can ignore this, its combat system is very varied and the game is very difficult.

I know that ending, but i think if you would have taken another character
there would be a chance for a sequel and
now we got Vikings in Tv- ok maybe not the best series
and War of the vikings too bad its only a multiplayer game with no Story mode.

I remember Heavy mettal Fakk2 from 2000 is for todays graphics very bad and non playable.
But its no hacknslay... but what was fine graphics in 2000 is pretty bad today (and were now on the unreal engine 4):)
If you dont put you eye on excelent graphics you can play older games and have a lot fun if the gameplay is good. Im still playing mafia 1 from time to time or stuff like that if its playable with the new Systems.
