RuneEd comdlg32 error fix

Hey All,

I was having some trouble with RuneEd and couldnt find a solution anywhere on the net.
Whenever I started RuneEd i got an "error 372" making reference to a comDLG32.osx file being out of version or missing.



When I couldnt find an online solution that worked, I took matters into my own hands and here's my solution:

Download the comdlg32.osx file from here:
http://www.bioinformatics.org/snp-tools-excel/install_comdlg32.htm

Place a copy of it in your Windows/System32 folder (I believe this is where runeEd looks for the file).

Start RuneEd.

If it doesn't work, place a copy in Windows\SysWOW64 and try again.

Rune Classic already gave you all the files you need to fix the editor; in the EditorFix folder from where the game is installed, you can just copy and paste all the *ocx and *dll files into the game's System folder.

For whatever reason that didn't work.

Try running RuneEd in compatibility mode (XP Service Pack 3 should be good enough) after copying all of the EditorFix files. It worked for me.

If anyone is having problems getting the RuneEd to work this is how I did it....

Right click on "RuneEd.exe" and select run as administer the first time. Afterwards I didn't have to do it that way again and it worked.
