A Rune Remake

I'm a big fan of this game since 2001 when I first played the demo. I love the story, the characters, the soundtrack and especially the gameplay. I dream of a remake of this masterpiece with beatiful graphics, new dialogues, new mechanics and why not, even new places to visit and levels.

I can't be the only one who wants a remake, or am I?

Yes, that would be very nice indeed. Any thoughts about a sequel? Like, who could possibly be the main character and what would he do? Let's dream about it.

I can't recall his name either. So, you would like to see his story? That's not a bad option if you ask me.

Everyone say his name on the game, Odin, Loki and the final boss. Jared, something like that. This guy must be important, or it's something common to the viking culture.

Nah if he was important, i wouldn't be able to kill him with Sigurd's axe in the very beginning ;)

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. When I use 'the guy' I was talking about Ragnar's father.

Although, no one is important, not even Loki, when you have as enemy a guy who can quicksave and quickload as his own command. Odin chose rightly.

Heh yeah, but i did mean Ragnar's father, the one in whos house you first drink mead.

i still play this game after all these years and its actualy pretty beautyfull- i´m impressed by the outside terrain or the ice effects and water effects for 2000. And even its a game with the unreal engine 1 it had a lot of details and big maps.
The skeleton sound stil is frightening. The story is awesome.
I´m shure the game would be awesome in a new look with unreal engine 3 or 4.
The only problem i have with this classic is the ugly low polygoned stones.. but
well thats an issue many games had those days.
I remember i have bought heavy metal fakk2.
As i´ve seen human head studios is on to make a part 2 maybe its take them another 10 years.
I´m still not shure why there never was a part 2.
