Communication Trench Weird

It's weird because my troops are running right past the enemy troops in the communication trench funny as hell. Should just remove them and add a one length trench to replace it with

I am pretty sure that how it worked in real life, communication trenches were off limits to attacking each other.

I couldn't find anything so I'd like to see, crazy how they where doing gas attacks but where like noooooo we cant touch a communication trench lmao

Thats... not a thing. If it was in certain sectors i'd like to know but i've seen books of the era specifically talk about fighting in comms trenches and how it should be conducted

(or in Laffargue's case, how it shouldn't, lol)

This also happens in the fighting trenches, funny thing is I was using Canadians. So I though its their trait to pass alongside the enemy when not directly fighting one another lol. I wish I recorded that.

Even if this is a rule no one would have done it. Because if this is the case why not make all trenches comm trench then?
