How to destroy tanks

As the title says, how can i destroy tanks fast?
I attack and the moment my men are in the open few tanks drive between them and the attack is failed. So how can i destroy them fast?

a bomber or several batteries of heavy arty at once are the fastest ways to take them out in my experience

You can make your defenses with multiples trenches having the same field of fire (see Vauban's fortifications). Like that, you will have multiple companies able to open fire simultaneously on enemy tanks. Adding some heavy artillery / bombers / mortars / MGs and you will be able to destroy them.

But don't forget we are in WW1. Even if you can destroy tanks with heavy (really heavy) fire, you will lose many mens against them.

Trench Raiders destroy a single tank in 5 seconds, just make sure they are the ones firing in the trench, are closed to the tank to send grenades and that they are not suppresed
