It's way too easy to cheese the Strategic Map

Note I did this on purpose to try it out. And it is very funny that you can win games like this, but do please make it so you can only surround armies by either fully surrounding them or pushing them to the water.

Yes, units inside cannot attack and will lose a star each turn until they die.

Units in the surrounded region can't attack and the surrounded regions lose 1 star per turn.

Basically, as you can see in the screenshot, I can move more or less half my units to protect the 4 regions that hold up the surround, and after 4 turns of doing nothing and autoresolving into stalemates I have a ~400 National Will advantage

This is the same strategy I did and yea it ends campaigns very quickly. Encircling is op.

Entire enemy corp dies without the ability to fight back. Gone corp cannot be replenished.

Yeah it's insanely easy to cut off the eastern half of the map like this.
-The AI does not prioritize defending those 2-3 tiles and will continue to pour in corps in the soon to form pocket.
-Those few tiles are what, 2-3 stars? Having just one 4 star in that path would make it a lot harder to form this "pocket".
-The eastern tiles here shouldn't even be encircled as they are still connected to france. Either add another row or two of tiles to the south, or add some alternative supply point besides Paris here.

Did the same thing. When the regions eventually collapsed they lost nearly all their national will immediately.
I don't know what actually happens to the units who are encircled. It didn't look like the enemy had any fewer after, especially considering he had most of his pieces in the pocket.

I did find it a bit silly, but at the same time if you can reach the end of the map it usually means your campaign is over anyway. So it's fine.

Should be by complete encirclement only really. Anything else like this makes no sense lol

Can't attack? Doesn't the game assume the Corps carry a quantity of supply with them that is independent of the Global supply? What is the logic of this? Just let them attack but don't let them have access to Global supply.

It's the only way to KILL a unit. Killing 40k troops in the battle before does nothing to the AI troop numbers

That's not really encircling through. It's just the game not understanding there is a whole France to the south where French troops could realistically draw their supplies from.

Like someone else said - only full enrciclements should count as encirclements, because this is nonsense.

Yeah ofc, but the problem is this encirclement is from two 2 star and one 1 star province, and shouldn't be an encirclement at all
