Anti-Tank Gun/rifles
After tanks were introduced in the Great War, the Germans mounted howitzers horizontally as anti-tank guns. They also had anti-air guns. Most of the combatant nations did use anti-tank rifles. Will we or should we see this built into the game for artillery or for infantry?

I'll speak of what i know best the french had 75mm AA guns in service from the day the war was declated until the end. i don't doubt the rest though, it's just that this implies the first purpose built AA guns entered service late war when france had around 50 of the truck-mounted version in 1915 already.

Also wasn't the becker a purpose-built AA gun? it's caliber wouldnt allow to fire at infantry without breaking the conventions of war.

and the French the Canon de 75 Antiaerien Mle 1913, Mle 1915 and Mle 1917, again originally for use against airships. (and as the name suggests in the case of the French guns, these guns were actually pre-war designs, albeit barely)

The Mle 1913 is the truck mounted version, and as I said, was pre-war. However, was intended as anti-zeppelin and anti-balloon rather than anti-aircraft. Shooting at aircraft with a 75mm Gun in 1913 (given the standards of aircraft back then) was considered overkill.

It was later that they were used more against aircraft. Again an odd distinction for us now, but, at the time it was zeppelins that were considered the greater threat given how high they could fly (out of reach of most contemporary aircraft pre-war). The first purpose built heavy *anti-aircraft* guns were designed in 1916 and entered service in 1917. The earlier anti-zeppelin and anti-balloon guns of course were practically interchangable in use and existed earlier. Sorry should have made that clear.

The Becker was designed not as a ground-based AA weapon, but as an automatic cannon light enough to be mounted in aircraft. It was the progenitor of the MG FF used in the 1930s and the early part of the 2nd World War.

There is an anti- air armored vehicle that shoots AA at your plans. Its not a tank. Its like a flat bed armored truck. Not to mention AA was real not on there mind when they started useing tanks. They were mostly all prototypes and were test for the first time on the battle feld. Besides the heavy artery takeks the tanks out better, specifically if you have two targeted on it. But the AA is just as new as the planes were,so they both needed some advisement in tech.
Anti-Air I agree with... there were HMGs used against aircraft in the war by all sides, and from a game-play perspective, it'd be nice to have some mid-to-late game tech allowing for AA HMGs maybe.

The AT situation in the game, though, is comical. Standard infantry are like ze goggles... they do nothing. Meanwhile, a single trench raider almost insta-kills any tank within range. There could be a little more parity, there: standard infantry could do slightly more damage, and trench raiders could do a bit less.

Standard infantry should use their nades against tanks, it's nonsense how they only use them against emplacements. Make them worse at it than raiders but have it be an option.
