Best I could do was add more points to the point value in the tech menu, but as soon as you exit back to the campaign screen, whether you tried to spend the points or not, it simply does not give you the techs, and reverts your points to whatever the value on the campaign map says you had.
What this tells me is that there are multiple values relating to tech points which is really concerning in context of thinking about how much bloat and spaghetti code there is. There is really no reason there should be more than one code value determining how many tech points you have.
-Increase National Will by several hundred for my enemy.
-Get access to more tech earlier in the game.
-Increase supply for more defenses/larger battles.
Essentially, I'm here for the spectacle of a long and bloody war, because thats whats fun to me, I dont really care about winning or losing, but I'm starting to see that the dev's have designed the game to be anti-player choice, and its really starting to frustrate me.
