FEAR Steam Version WORKS in Multiplayer (HOW TO)

I was afraid the FEAR Version I got in Steam wasn't going to work, but turns out It does.
The only limitation It has, Is It doesn't use have a Working CDKey.
This can be sorted out with easy, since even when Sierra stopped giving away new Keys for the Free Multiplayer component ( FEAR Combat ), the community of players modded the servers to accept new keys.

You can get one for both FEAR Steam Edition and FEAR Combat in the fear-community.org page. So far It works great, althought some controls need to be configured, everything works great.
The downside is that the key you get there can't be written ingame, you need to create a empty file in Shared Documents \Monolith Productions\ FEAR and add this to the file content:

[FEAR]
CDKey=THIS-IS-MY-FEAR-CDKEY

Save the file as key.ini and you are ready to play Online.

I got the game in steam (with paypal)
To register at fear-community.org you don't need to pay anything, It's free!
Also If you want only the multiplayer you can download FEAR Combat, in the same fear-community site (It's 100% Free).

Well, we got It working, just had to adjust the path ^_^

These issues are not easy to fix with the new FEAR Launcher (latest is 1.3.1, that lets you change your CDKey and find servers, get It at fear-community.org ^_^)

wait can i ask do you type this is my cd key or do you put in the key you got from the website fear community.org?

OK, I am downloading this F.E.A.R. Combat right now and I wil be able to play online if, I use that written key?

I know this is an old post but, I'm looking to get people to play online again. I have the Steam version but this is a whole new game, as far as, I can tell.
