Key Bindings Not Working?

Hey everyone! I recently bought the FEAR games (collection sale ftw) and started to play the first game. Everything works awesome except when I start the game in the alley (very first level, if not prologue). My W key is bound to be move forward, like most FPS games. The spacebar is bound for jump. All the keys work just fine except the W and spacebar. It's almost as if the game is not reading I am trying to move forward or jumping. Sometimes it will work sometimes it won't, I cannot tell if there is a pattern or not.

I figured, hey maybe it's my keyboard so I left the game and tested out all my keys in a notepad and a few other FPS games I have. My W key and spacebar function perfectly and there is no delay. I went back into FEAR and behold, my W key and spacebar refuse to acknowledge what they are bound to do. I tried to go into controls and re-bind the keys. The same exact problem occured, but with different keys this time!

I have no clue what is going on. After having tried possible solutions above and experiments I am at a loss. What are your thoughts on this, and any help is appreciated! Thank you.

No idea.... but, try disable Steam Overlay!
