startup problem Missing shell dll....
fear wont start. "missing shell dll" followed by some chinses or so.
tried reinstall, resolution settings, driver update nothins...
any hint would be nice. thanx

The same thing is happening to me. I can't start the game - it says "Missing Shell DLL"

When I use a shortcut it says - Missing Shell DLL
When I run the executable in the folder it says - Application Error 5:000006534

There has to be a way to fix it!!! Any HELP?

Bump, was playing fine last week then out of nowhere this happened, would love some support

I found a solution:
Right click the shortcut and go to properties.
Go to compatibility tab and set it to work with Windows XP SP2 or SP3
Set the checkbox to run the program as Administrator
Click OK, and close the properties. Now run the game by double clicking the shortcut.

It worked for me. The only issue I have is that the game runs with some latency most of the time, but at least now it runs. I contacted the custommer support about this, and there was nothing they could do. They said the game is not designed to run on Windows 7 and above. They recommeded slowing down the video card in order to solve the slow frame rate (latency). I did not try it out... I am just glad it works at all.
