F.E.A.R. 1 and its 2 expansions, retail physical copy; steam does not accept cd keys?

I recently found the original, RETAIL copy of Fear1 with both its expansions. They have CD keys. Also, i noticed that in steam, those games exist. So, i opened my steam account, and tried to get the game in steam form. But for some reason, it (steam) does not accept my keys, and says they are invalid.

Is there some way i can input my cd keys into obtaining FEAR and its expansions into Steam Form? Once again, it is from the physical, retail package compilation, sold all of these years back. Please help?

I'd write to support and see what they have to say. It would be easy to just take a picture of the original box with the cd key for example, but I don't know if they'll accept that.

Unless it was originally meant for Steam then it won't be accepted. Those keys are probably meant to be used with the DVDs for installing the game without Steam.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the case... Also, from my scouring the forum conversations, i discovered what type and form of cd keys are and are not accepted by steam. The form of that retail does not match. Still, will i be unable to turn my retail copy into its steam version? Are there any workarounds (not the add your non steam game to steam variations, though...)?
