Report a translation problem
Make sure you've set both the aspect ratio option (FEAR had it if I'm not mistaken) and the resolution properly in game settings. Other then that you might try messing around the settings file (maybe settings.cfg or something like that) to see if does anything, but I think that's about all you can do.

Edit: Just a quick update, I was playing that "GoldenEye Reloaded" on Xbox 360, and noticed it does the same thing, with the sort of stretching near the borders of the screen. I never noticed it before, but now that I'm seeing it on this game, maybe that's just the way some devs choose to do it. At any rate, it's not nearly as noticeable, though that could be the difference in screen size(23" monitor vs 48" HDTV).
Due to your comment about it looking fisheyed I'm guessing your issue is an incorrect field of view calculation, perhaps due to your nonstandard native resolution. Check out this tip I found on a site which will hopefully let you change the FOV manually. Try decreasing the number and see if you like that better.
