FEAR is freezing before it even starts
I just bought the FEAR complete collection and I started playing FEAR and then it freezes on the Nvidea screen when starting the game. Sometimes I can move my mouse in a small box on the screen. The box isn't always there but occasionly it is. Please help!

One thing you guys can do is go to its properties and verify the files to make sure they are all there or to make sure they are all working. Just make sure you have no anti virus or anything like that running at the same time

I finally got it to work and it was as simple as unplugging my wireless mouse (logitech) and using a wired one.

Had something like that happen the first time trying to run the game on Win 8.1. Simply changed the compatability setting to Win XP3 and it works great.

I try to do that but it doesn't work. I have Win 7

That used to happen to me. I found that if I start mashing the spacebar before/during the Sierra screen, it will skip the part that freezes and go straight to the title screen.

What I did was, Opened the config app, in the games directory, set the resolution to one of the supported layouts and it worked fine for me again. My native resolution wasn't supported (indicated by an * symbol). Bit old news, but it may help someone.
Thanks!
