Is there some kind of fps fix for this game?
I set the game to maximum and I keep getting fps drops to like 45 fps when I'm not moving or anything. Also some parts of the game only go up to 50fps but I would've thought I'd be able to run this game no problem at 60fps constant.

I have an i7 4790k, gtx 980 and 16gb ram

Your FPS drops because your setup is too powerful and the GPU and CPU enter power saving mode.

Just open Nvidia Control Panel, add FEAR to the Game list and set the Power Management to maximum performance and you should be fine.

Confirming this actually worked for me.

Never actually thought it would be so simple. I know I'm like 3 years late, but thanks for the tip!

I rather recommend to use the DLL fix.
So you don't have to mess around with your hardware or Device Manager.

Thanks, but I've finished the game (for the third time) in one sitting the other day. I'll keep it in mind next time I re-play it, though.

Ok what the ♥♥♥♥? This actually worked for me. I never thought that PC peripherals could contribute to FPS, can someone explain?

FYI had the same issue happen with non-Logitech hardware as well. This fix gives me 480+ fps now at 1080p on a R9 390 instead of 15fps.

Yep, ran into the same issue, Logitech G502 mouse.

The DLL fix did it for me as well. What a strange phenomenon. The DLL itself too, just drop it in the folder and it's magically picked up by the game, it didn't override any existing file. Oh well. Glory to our FPS lords once more!
