Game capped at 30 FPS for me
I have a GTX 980 and a 144hz monitor so i'm not really sure why this game keeps dipping to 30fps after every cutscene. The only solution is to restart the game which then I get around 80-150fps on max settings but after 5 mins it dips back to 30fps and locks itself at that no matter what settings I change. Anyone have a solution to this problem? Could it be something to do with the graphics settings in game? All my drivers are up to date and all that good stuff. Thanks.

Try going to the Nvidia control panel, Manage 3D settings, select the profile for FEAR and switch vertical sync to "off".

I've got an R9 HD 7970, 3.0GB VRAM, 3.6GHz quad core processor, and 16GB RAM... I can run BF4 at high with 60FPS... but for some reason, this game runs worse than it did on my old PC from 2006.

I finally found the solution for the FPS cap thing. If you're using Windows 7, right click on computer in the start menu, go to manage, then click on device manager, open up the tab that says Human Interface Devices and disable everything that says "HID-compliant device." For some odd reason that seemed to fix my game since now i'm getting around 300-800fps constant on maximum settings. I hope this helps anyone that was having the same issue as me :)
