What's the best controller support for this game? (Xbox 360 controller)

Does the game have any built in controller support from the start or do you need to go into the settings. I know you change some settings for controller to work but not all the buttons you need. What's the best way to get the 360 F.E.A.R. controls to work for the PC version?

Works really well, included quicksave/load mapped to the back button, other than that its fully accurate to the Xbox versions controller mapping

why would you want to use a controller on a fps game like fear??...aiming sucks on an analog stick compered to a mouse.

because I first played on 360 and hate k&m on games unless it's only a k&m game (like league of legends)

Because I have issues with my hands meaning I can't cope with games that only use keyboards. It really annoys me that pricks who are so far up there own arse and do not use controllers think people who do use them are a lower species in the gaming world.

lmfao I use controllers, just not for fps games ..because it sucks. aiming with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ analog stick is clunky as ♥♥♥♥. much better with a mouse with a dpi of 1600 and in a game like fear you want smooth aiming

You'll get no auto aim either, that's why i had to force myself to get used to keyboard and mouse

lmfao ..are you serious? have you even played with a mouse..its 100X better.. aiming sucks on a controller and its not fun on an analog stick.

Im so sick of people going on about keyboard and mouse when people asking for controller support. @whoever asked the question. if you connect a controller and load up a controller template from the controller bit for FEAR. one tip is to up mouse smoothing all the way up on the FEAR game screen. this will help loads with being able to aim accurately. playing at 4k resolution helps with aim too.

Right, to all of you people above who discriminate against other people with disabilities, which is why a large number of people use one to still have enjoyment.

When I started gaming on my Amstrad 464 I could use the keyboard, apart from Daley Thompson's Decathlon, which needed the joystick.

As time progressed, pc's became more expensive and consoles were affordable. I remember getting exited about my friends new pc that had a whole 1GB hard drive and cost £1500. Over the years I had a Sega Megadrive, PS, PS1, PS2, Xbox360, and then went back to PC gaming.

In the meantime the arthritis in my hands had been getting gradually worse. Using a controller is easy because everything is contained in one small area, Using a keyboard means stretching my hands and fingers across it with quick reactions which I am unable to do for more than a couple of minutes without getting pain.

Before you laugh at and call people stupid for not using a mouse and keyboard, take a look in the mirror and realise that you are the stupid one.

Not gonna lie, this is a game that genuinely does control better with a KBM. Try it and see how it plays, you won't be disappointed

Good lord, it's not like this is some competitive pvp game. Literally just a thread asking for help. Maybe 'better' is just being comfortable while you play a video game. Imagine.

We've gotten this response 100 other times. We are aware of the benefits of kb/m. Please stop. I hope you one day understand how annoying you're being.
