Fear wont play on my main monitor since i got a second monitor

Over the weekend i bought a second monitor. Now every time i start up the game it makes the game go to my second monitor instead of my main, and i have no idea how to get the game too the other screen

If your monitors are connected by Displayport, usually Windows will detect which monitors are switched on, so you would only need to switch off the secondary.
If you are using desktop spanning, try pressing alt-enter in game to switch to windowed, drag the window to the other monitor and alt-enter again and see if it goes fullscreen on the other monitor. Otherwise you might need to change the layout of the monitors in the Windows display settings.
I use a program called MurGeeMon, it allows you to set keyboard or desktop shortcuts for monitor-related functions. I have a shortcut set for enabling/disabling the secondary monitor and another which toggles the two monitors between primary and secondary.

my main monitor is hooked up by display port and my secondary is by HDMI. i tried turning off the second monitor and it still went there. and nothing happens when i try to hit alt-enter:/

Go t the local file for FEAR and find the conig, there you should be able to chose the screen and RES

Hook up your 2nd one with display port get rid of the HDMI then you can run full HZ with both of them.

Hook up your 2nd one with display port get rid of the HDMI then you can run full HZ with both of them.

I'm guessing he is limited by what is available on the monitor. I have the same issue, as not every monitor has every connector type.

My GPU only has one Display port and one HDMI out

You should have a display port in your monitor to link it over to the other one.

the way windows handles multiple monitors is extremely annoying and is the main reason i run all my games in a window
