Perseus Mandate is garbage. FEAR 2 is alright but personally I found it to be ♥♥♥♥. FEAR 3 is an abomination

Fear great, the 2 expansion packs are fine for what they are. I couldn't get by a couple mins of F2 vids and less of F3, so I didn't even play them. I think somebody, (important people at the company) lost their minds somewhere between F1 and F2

F.E.A.R. 1 is a masterpiece

I don't get the hate for F2, Besides being made for console wich you will notice by certain keybindings etc it was quite good after the first level or so.

Both expansions for F1 felt like they where made by fans as mods.

F3 is not a horrible game but a bad fear game.

I liked Fear 2, not as much as the original obviously but decent enough to hold my attention. The third game however sucks, playing that game solo was a chore, co-op though was a bit better but not by much.

YES YES YES!! First game is amazing, and the expansion, Perseus Mandate is okay(Helps a little with the storyline overall), Fear 2 is great as well(Personally a tie with the First for me), and the 3rd one is alright overall(It ends the story nicely...provided you choose the Good Ending)
*Highly recommend playing the 3rd Co-op* It's a lot better that way

Skip F.E.A.R 3, the rest are good. 3 relies on a cover based system that really only feels good on a controller. Generally The AI shot right away then took cover and peaked shot, took cover. You have to take damage, so health regenerates over time. later levels are like whack-a-mole; wait for health regen, pop up and whack-another-mole. Then there are bosses like the Phase Commander who could be killed before he even got a shot off.

Extraction Point has it's moments; The churche level is probably my favorite level in a FPS game.

Persius Mandate has some fun additions to the arsenal, but is more of the same, with the least interesting level design of the franchise. I still enjoyed, but not for the view.

F.E.A.R 2 has much better atmosphere, decent gunplay, and less intelligible NPC's but with more enemy types. The plot is more focused, and campier then anything else in the seriese.

The Fear series is the worst game series ever with the first game being the worst

Just play FEAR 1, skip Extraction Point, Perseus Mandate, and don't even bother touching 2 & 3 they are that bad.

However Fear 1 is amazing and one of the best fps ever, especially if you like deep story (you'll have to use wiki to understand most of it).
