any way to play Fear with a xbox controller?

hey, i figured it out a couple of days ago.
1. Make steam go into Game Mode with the controller sign at the top right
2. click on fear
3. should say something about controller support in one of the menus
4. then just download one of the profiles people have made. You can also edit your own
5. then just load up the game and it should work.
worked for me at least. This works for ALMOST any game that doesnt have controller support.

What did you mean with game mode? Big picture mode? I have googled at steam game mode but didnt get usefull information.

If you use big picture mode, just click on the game, have controller plugged in and sometimes you can find custom controls other people have made and you can download them. Sometimes it just happens to work on its own. Its weird man

Just got the game actually it work you just need to put the button in options you have the pc buttons like and just press you controller button for example to jump press A for action button press Y crouch B and thats the spice i play with my xbox controller

That didn't work for me, so I just purchased the Xbox versions of FEAR 1&2 to play on my Xbox Series X. Perhaps one day we'll get a remaster of the series with some QOL features.
