Report a translation problem
1. Make steam go into Game Mode with the controller sign at the top right
2. click on fear
3. should say something about controller support in one of the menus
4. then just download one of the profiles people have made. You can also edit your own
5. then just load up the game and it should work.
worked for me at least. This works for ALMOST any game that doesnt have controller support.

That didn't work for me, so I just purchased the Xbox versions of FEAR 1&2 to play on my Xbox Series X. Perhaps one day we'll get a remaster of the series with some QOL features.
