low fps
When i first start playing the game i have 60 fps but after 5 min i go down to 40 mostly. I've tried disabling the HID devices but when i do that my device manager decides to kill itself. Everybody that i seen online that used that fix either had windows 7 or a logitech keyboard abd mouse thats the main reason behind these fps drops. I have windows 10 so does anybody have a fix for it instead of HID devices because that is out of the question for me

Specs:
MSI Z170A gaming pro carbon
gtx 1070 founders edition
16 gigs corsair dominator ram ddr4
i7 6700k 4.00k
960gb ssd

I developed an easy to install fix for this problem. You can find it as a Steam guide here.

I found a solution for me.
I set the "signal rate" -I dont know the correkt name in english- from 1000 to 125 and the frame drops only with until 10 fps

Dropping in the .dll file worked for me, and my game had a poor framerate from the get-go.

Go to device manager, human interface devices and disable all HID complaint consumer and HID compliant vendor devices. This sorted it for me

Do I have to add the .dll to the expansions folders as well?

Yes, so that it will hook into the executables.

If it's not related to a Logitech mouse, then try using the 4GB patch to increase the available RAM. More infos: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/F.E.A.R.#Issues_fixed

This bug is not limited to Logitech. Affected one of my systems with Abkoncore mouse and keyboard. The fix from the first comment definitely works! Thank you!

This method should also fix your fps problem.

In your Steam library, right click F.E.A.R. and go to its properties. Under the General tab you will see "set launch options". Give it a launch option of: -userdirectory FEAR_User

If you want to play the 2 DLCs then do the same process for both of them.
