Game Refuses to Launch, Help please!

when i click the green play button it switches to "stop" with an x and appears to be launching, but then nothing happens and the play button is back.

My best guess is it cant launch the install files it needs upon first launch, i can see an icon flickering on my taskbar trying to install for a few seconds when i launch after verifying files, but it disappears and no pop up window comes up to accept like you would normally expect...

Issue persists even after clearing game cache and verifying files, fresh install etc. im stumped. Never had any issues with previous F1 games on PC all the way back to 2019. any help is appreicated, thanks.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Bought the Champion edition on May 3. So thought to be able to play on June 13th...nothing! Already tried everything, everything is update, new drivers ... nothing helps.
Today with the f1 23 release date, still the same...
Very frustrating!!!

The exact same thing happens to me, now I see that it's not just me, already validate files, install and nothing.

"same" isnt helping. check the event viewer to see if the game crashes. if so check the info on why

This is what I see in the event viewer: Windows cannot access the file for one of the following reasons: network connection problem; a problem with the disk where the file is stored; a problem with the storage drivers installed on this computer; no disk. Windows closed F1 23 Executable due to this error.

My network connection is good, the disk is ok, all drivers are installed to the latest version, windows is updated, windows 8 compatibility does not work.

I dont know what i have to do to play this game lol

bollocks pay over 70 quid for early access and you want people to do what its a joke u are being robbed for something that is crapp ohh wait didn't this happened last year.game is broken and unfinshed full of bugs yet here the sheeps are again. dont buy the game its very simple solution. put your money were your mouth is and make a stand

I didn't buy this game, I have EA Play and I have 5 hours to play and I want to test it but I can't lol

i spent that 5 hours trying figure out why fps dropping in night races. game kept crashing frezzing turn pc off put the older f1 games in f1 22 21 20 night races whatever game works no issues. its noit my pc not my gpu not my windows update drivers nonsense. all games work fine but f1 23 i will not buy this game. because i cant flipping play it.

Well Windows reports issues with network or storage. You have second hdd or ssd? Try to install game there.

Yes, I have another HDD, I installed F1 there and it didn't work, now I have an SSD and it still doesn't work

Thanks for the help for those offering help, and those also struggling with the same thing, at least we are not alone. In my brief conversation with EA support last night they indicated it was a widespread issue and they are working on a fix... whether you want to believe that or not is up to you!
