Why does it feel like TC is non existant in this game?
Hi everyone.

I love playing F1 games. I have every single title that came out on steam except the newest one which I plan to buy one day. However, despite the fact that I own so many F1 titles, I still consider myself and amateur and a noob when it comes to racing games, therefore I always use assists. One of those assists is traction control. I used it on full in every single F1 game (even including F1 24 that I am also playing) and in every game except F1 23 FULL TC felt fine, I rarely ever slide out. However, on F1 23, when I exit almost any corner on full throttle, the back end of my car just slides or drifts for a bit. Not too long, but still, it does cost me some time on tracks and it honestly pisses me off.

I did hear from some people yeah it's a skill issue, you need to work on your driving skills. Listen, I already said I suck at driving and every F1 game didn't cause me this problem except this one. Can anyone please write any suggestions, should I change specific options on the controller, like the calibration etc. I already tried the Throttle Linearity with a 100 but it almost changed nothing. Should I put something else at a 100? Should I change some other controller settings?

I would really appreciate it if someone could at least help me lower the sliding by a bit. I know that there is a mod created to eliminate it completely, but since I am playing a co-op career with my friend, that won't work online. He is also having the same issue, so both of us would appreciate any kind of advice or help.

You could try more on throttle differential (i.e if you're using TT setups using like 50-55%, increase it to 65-70%), and more rear wing to keep the rear more stable on throttle.

I don't use TC so I don't have any other suggestions, but maybe this helps.
rear tyre degradation makes you slide often so be aware

Thanks, I will give it a shot

Man do I hate these kind of comments. I might be a noob in racing, but it's completely normal if you burn your tires with wear that you will slide. It's like you told me hey you know if you look at the sky the color is blue...

You must love F1 when played 21, 23 and 24 togather for less than 140 hours. XD

Check again before you try talking trash. I have at least an hour on every other F1 game except 2017, never got the chance but I will one day. Also those 3 plus 22 have co-op, the reason why I played them the most. F1 22 however sucks because of the non existent steering.

why even play f1 games if you want to use TC/ABS?

Because I can? Instead of trying to be smart, at least try to help someone out. People these days...

Just turn off the assists you will have a much more enjoyable experience. Set break bias to 55 - 56 figure out a proper set up dial in your controller and learn to be gentle with your acceleration curve and when to push it.. Riding the edge is what makes racing fun
