*FIXED* Requires an EA account - Even though it exists and is linked to the Steam account
I spent more than 3 hours chatting with EA and there was no success.

I explained several times that F1 23 simply decided to request the EA account again and now it no longer recognizes it or opens a login window.

What was different?
I reinstalled the game because I wanted to play it again.

And to my surprise he is requesting an EA account, the same one that is ALREADY LINKED TO STEAM!

I don't know what else to do, now I can only play in offline mode and Steam support doesn't help with anything either...

It could be related to server issues. People have been reporting issues connecting. I haven't tired the last few days, but I've seen others complain about that.

Maybe that's whats causing your issue, and after they fix whatever other issue they have it will correct itself. I hope.

Unfortunately EA cannot help me after more than 3 hours of conversations.

Today I opened support again with Steam and explained everything to them again, but informing them of all the steps I took to EA.

I still think it might be an issue related to the EA login pop-up that Steam isn't opening.

I'll wait a few more days and see what happens. The price of the game wasn't cheap for where I live, the least I expect is help on both sides.

I tried everything I saw on the internet and nothing worked, I hope they release a patch that can fix this...

Just an observation, it wasn't just in F1 23, I tested it in F1 22 and the same problem happened, not even reinstalling both games solved the problem, everything persists...

Update:

1. As I had contacted EA support, I redid the Steam link. Which didn't solve the problem.

2. I reinstalled Steam and it didn't solve the problem.

3. I formatted the computer with a 100% clean installation of Windows and the result was this: After formatting, I installed Steam and F1 23 again, when opening the game it presented the EA screen requesting a verification code to authorize the device resulting in logging into the account correctly.

I can finally play my F1 23!

i have the exact same problem, but i'm not gonna format my pc to play F1 23 online. I'll play offline or send the game back
