windows 11 problem starting game

I am running windows 11 latest version with latest graphics drives. The games starts with a black screen and then closes but if i setup comparability and set it to windows 8 the games gives a message saying it is not windows 10 or later but then it runs if i disable comparability then games goes to black screen then close with no error.

What specs do you have (CPU/GPU) and have you tried verifying the game files?

cpu is a amd ryzen 7 5800h with a NVIDIA geforce rtx 3050 ti and i a have verified the files get 0 errors back.

Shot in the dark here, hope any of it will help:

1. Run the Launcher as an Administrator
2. End Background Processes
3. Disable Steam Overlay
4. Disable Steam Input
5. Run the game in Windowed Mode
6. Check if the iGPU of the 5800h isn't ur primary rendering device <-- could be it
7. Try turning off any 3rd party antivirus just in case


In either nvidia's control panel or AMDs you should be able to set that 3050Ti as preferred or primary accelerator. Fingers crossed!

hi i have done the above and get the same problem the NVIDIA has been set as the main card for the game the games even shows that it is using the NVIDIA but will only run when set to windows 8 comparability.

Then I'm out of ideas here :( try getting a hold of EA support in chat, since they haven't opened the forums there yet that's the only way to get some help from them right now.

No problems here on Windows 11

I'll share my driver version, maybe this helps you. For me the game run fine when I started it in the morning.

I had the very same problem but realised, like FIFA 23, that F1 23 does not like other controllers attached other than the controller you plan to use. So I unplugged my Warthog Hotas, xbox controller etc and just left my MOZA DD attached and the game launches and works fine now.
