Had to look it up but hot dang those are $1k+ pedals?! :winter2019surprisedyul:

Let's hope some some actual F1 drivers using those kinda setups let themselves be heard, maybe all the other (input) issues non-prosimracers have been facing since '22 might actually get fixed as well!

(as in: they finally start throwing some money at solid QA like they should)

Mine doesnt even work, cant assign brake and throttle because they are connected directly to pc with USB cable and the game cant recognize the pedals or any input/ouput from them.

My Setup:

Fanatec GT DD PRO + Mclaren GT V2 Wheel
+
Heusinkveld sprint pedals (No Clutch set)

Seriously; if you keep restarting the game over and over again, they will work once in x amount of times. The question is if you're willing to accept that-- since it only started happening in '22 and not '20 or '21, there's little to no chance it'll ever get fixed in '23 and beyond.

I will try this out.

Anyone knows vJoy, HidHide drivers and Joystick Gremlin (the 3 need to be installed)? 360CE is better solution than the previous mentioned?

x360ce is ONE programm, and it works for any pedals, joystick or gamepad

If I understand correctly this would map wheel + pedals to a single virtual controller; wouldn't that completely break force feedback though? (note: vibration feedback is not the same and has no variety in forces to apply)

And if it'd only be used to remap the pedals-- that still leaves a separate wheel and input the game engine is likely to mess up.

Hope I'm wrong and it's a fully working solution to those issues, and fingers crossed!

in fact x360 EMULATES a xbox game pad, for any controller, so you will emulates your pedals and replace the triggger input for the gamepad with your pedal input, it works for handbrake, and it works with the wheel, you can use a wheel with a game without wheel support...
I have succeed to use S360 with any game, my last use was dirt 5 cause my pedals were not recognised natively by Dirt 5.

So that would mean leaving force feedback behind for vibration at most :( I guess it would allow people to race at least, so thanks for bringing it up

Lol. Imagine spending £1000 on a wheel and then use it like an Xbox controller. No thanks.

it's the same, it's just input...it works fir any game, usually expensive pedals work only for a few game.
Imagine complaining when someone give the ultime solution...
dont play then ;)

I just tested and it worked. During time trials, i still can feel the force feedback as i turn into the corners and when go off the road.

The game will add a virtual device "xbox controller" just for the inputs. The controller only act as a triggers input regarding braking and acceleration.

You will still have the "fanatec preset" enabled and that devices will "do the job" for the steering and force feedback functions, and menu navigation.
